Nora Jones

Nora E. Jones, age 45, of Granite City, Illinois died on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 10:45 am at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, with loved ones at her side.

Born on June 10, 1964 in Lexington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the
late Howard W. Tate and Shirley (nee: Licklider) Tate.

Nora will be remembered as a great mom, loving companion, and friend to many,
who enjoyed each day to the fullest. She was dedicated to her jobs Duke’s Bakery and The Flower Emporium both in Granite City, where she enjoyed interacting with customers and co-workers.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by: three daughters, Sharon Hook, Mallory Jones and Sarah Jones, all of Granite City; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Marrissa, Abigail and Ashley; her loving companion of many years, Randy Kessler of Granite City and his
two children, Jennifer Kessler and Matthew Kessler, both of St. Charles, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Howard and Mary Tate of Springfield, IL and Eric and Diane Tate of Altus, OK; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tom Hobein of Jonesburg, MO and other extended family and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nora’s life at a memorial service on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 3:00 pm at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, 2205 Pontoon Road in Granite City, with the Rev. Clint Wisdom officiating. There will be visitation from 2:30 pm until time of services.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Family.

Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of Arrangements.
