Rebecca Noble

Rebecca “Becky” Noble, 63, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Born November 21, 1946 in Alton, she was the daughter of Eugene Buckshot and L. Maxine (Smotts) Buckshot. She was formerly of Alton and had lived in Granite City for 15 years. She was a dealer for the Alton Belle Casino for nearly 20 years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and collected anything Cardinal baseball related and also collected things about Bald Eagles. Becky was the Illinois State Pistol Champion and qualified for the 1984 Olympic Games. She wrote, presented and got a bill passed in the state of Illinois on Lyme disease awareness.

Surviving is a son, Mike Noble of Columbus, Ohio. She was “Ma Becky” to Tori, Isabella and R.J. Also surviving are five sisters, Carol F. McClain of Desoto, MO, Edina L. Davis of Alton, Sheila M. Geabes of Godfrey, Marian H. Dunston and her husband John P. of Florissant, Colorado and Bobbie Jo Curry of Alton, several nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Barb A. Buckshot of Alton and a longtime friend, Margaret Brooksher and her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Leah Brooksher of Granite City. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald E. Buckshot.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gent Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Reverend Roger Bruce will officiate. Cremation will follow funeral services.

Memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
