Jason Matthew Bowman, 38, passed away at 7:00 pm, on Thursday February 2, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Springfield, IL on May 24, 1973 the son of Jayne Stuart and Richard Bowman.
On June 23, 2006, he married Sarah Hunt in Edwardsville. She survives.
He was a driver for Air Products and Chemicals INC for the past six years. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Granite City. He was the USW Union Vice President of his local chapter and loved driving, cars, and health and fitness.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Zachary, Matthew, Naomi, and Ronin; his ex-wife Monica Bowman of Granite City, and her daughter Dakota Lovell; two uncles, David Stuart of Godfrey, Stu and Dee Stuart of Knob Noster, MO; and Aunt Lora Stuart of Bellflower, MO; and his cat Molly and dog Oscar.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Stuart, Eileen (nee Mohler) Stuart, and Wayne and Mary Bowman.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Granite City.
Memorial service will be at 10 am on Thursday February 9, 2012 at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Granite City with Fr. George Pence officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the Community Care Center in Granite City, IL.
