Nathan McKey

Nathan Richard McKey, 22, passed away at 4:23 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 after an accident. 

He was born on May 24, 1990 in Maryville, IL, the son of Deron R. McKey and Dena R. Laird. 

He was a member of Splinter Creek Motorcycle Club in Fosterburg.  He enjoyed motorcycles, playing video games and computers and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.   

He survived by his mother, Dena R. Laird and Scott Reagan of Arnold, MO; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Brittany and Nick Corzine and their son, Axle of Worden and Hanna Smith of Arnold, MO; his maternal grandparents, Mary Stanton of Hartford and Dennis Laird of Granite City; his paternal grandparents, Richard “Merle” and Kay McKey of Moro; his aunts and uncles, Dennis Laird of Alaska, Denise Davis of Moro, Craig and Becky McKey of Fosterburg, Casey and Shelly Ray of High Ridge, MO and Misty and Dexter Peel of South Carolina and his cousins, Sarah, Jacob and Ryan Davis, Mady, Grant, Ashlee and Taylor McKey, Chelsea Stanton, Chade, Chalyn, Chalon and Chakia Everage, Megan Ray, Kenlee Corzine and Maveric Laird. He will be sadly missed by numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Deron McKey, his maternal grandfather, Gerald Stanton and his paternal Grandmother, Diane McKey.   

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2012 10 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday, July 23, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Steffaniak officiating

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital
