Precidia “Dolly” D. Cooper, 85, of Granite City, IL, died Fri. Dec. 20, 2013 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
She was born Sept. 6, 1928 in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii to the late Severo & Lucia (Castillo) Acoba.
On Aug. 30, 1952, she and Ralph G. Cooper were married in Honolulu and he survives.
Dolly had been a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City. She loved to play bingo and the slots with her husband. She also enjoyed crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: 3 daughters, Diana Dunham of Los Angeles, CA, Debra Cooper of Troy, IL and Pamela Muehling of Wentzville, MO, 5 sons, Robert (Judy) Kirkman of Sioux Falls, SD, Richard (Hong) Kirkman of Virginia Beach, VA, Gary (Bessie) Kirkman of Houston, TX, Kevin (Debby) Cooper of Summerville, SC and Craig (Stacy) Cooper of Meadowbrook, IL, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Tina Cadavana of Honolulu and 2 brothers, Primo Acoba of Panama City, FL and Claude Acoba of Honolulu.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Acoba and 3 sisters, Alice Alvarez, Rose Nerona and Flora Correa.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until services at 5:00 p.m. Sun. Jan. 12, 2014 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Pontoon Beach, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
