Donald Bryant of Cahokia

Donald LeRoy Bryant, Sr., 74, formerly of the area, passed away 3;05 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his residence.Born in Coffeyville, KS on December 25, 1939, he was the son of Raymond and Violet Marie (Burkhart) Bryant.He had been employed as a Plant Operator for National Marine before retiring.Surviving are five sons, Donald Bryant, Jr. of Hardin, Donnie Gimbel of Jacksonville, Terry Gimbel of Florida, Michael Bryant of Oregon, Darren Bryant of Iowa; two daughters, Sherry Murry of Godfrey, Sandra Price of Cahokia; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Bryant of Rosewood Heights.His parents; a daughter, Donna Bryant; and a brother, Robert Bryant preceded in death.A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, June 16 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.Friends and family arre then invited to gather at Belk Park in Wood River for meal and time of rememberance.
