Judith Stice

Judith Ann Stice 74 of Troy, IL and formerly of Bethalto, passed away Tues, July 29, 2014 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was born February 12, 1940 in Alton to William I. and Leona (Frey) Whittleman. She grew up in Godfrey, worked at 1st National Bank in Alton in the Auditing Department, then after she and Richard “Dick” Stice met and married they moved to Bethalto.

She then went to work at Godfrey State Bank until their sons were born and she stayed home to raise them. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and enjoyed it very much. She loved cooking for her family and taking care of her niece’s children. She loved camping and went traveling a lot. When their children were grown, they started traveling to Texas in the winter and would return in the spring to spend time with their family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Stice of Troy, IL; two sons, Ronald Stice of Troy and James Stice of CA; six grandchildren, Richard M.E Stice of Alton, Ronald L. Stice II of Troy, IL, Jessica A. Stice of Brighton, Chelsey A. Stice of Wood River, Skylynn R. Stice of Alton and Chance A. Stice of Alton and three great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers in law, Joan and John Green of Godfrey and Karen and Edward Grady of Incline Village, NV and nieces and nephews, Kelly (Rusty) Herrin, Mike (Debbie) Webb, Brian Webb, Mary Marshall, Christopher Grady, Beth (Ryan) Soliday and many great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights where services will be held at 12 p.m with the Rev. Willard Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com.
