Judy Tosh

Judy K. Tosh, 71, of Collinsville and formerly of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away at 7:38 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at her home.

She was born June 11, 1944 in Highland, a daughter of the late William Ray and Lucille (Geotz) Whitney.

She married James I. Tosh on May 22, 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri and he passed away on February 17, 2015.

She had worked as a certified nurse’s assistant for several years and had also served as a bartender at the Judy Inn and American Legion Post #435 for many years.

She had a love for animals and cherished her grandchildren. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Gena K. Evans of Glen Carbon and Sally D. Seiber of Collinsville; stepchildren, LeighAnn Johnson of Hamel, James A. “Andy” Tosh of Glen Carbon, Jeff Tosh of Hamel and Ed Tosh of Waterloo; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Lou Gibson of Collinsville and Doris Jane King of Collinsville; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harland Eugene “Gene” Seiber Jr.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 with Reverend Gary Steffaniak officiating.

Memorials may be made to the family and may be accepted at the funeral home.
