Kevin M. Rodgers, age 29, of Highland, Illinois died at 11:23 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Highland Hospital. Kevin was a nurse in the emergency room at Christian Hospital in St. Louis. He was born October 2, 1987, in Williamsville, New York the son of Lawrence J. & Lynn M. (Searl) Rodgers of Highland, Illinois. Kevin married Natalie Lowe on Nov 7, 2013, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Besides his parents & wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Hannah, age 2, & Jane Rodgers, age 11 months, of Highland; 1 brother, Timothy Rodgers of Nashville, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Martha Rodgers of Pontoon Beach, Illinois and Megan Rodgers of St. Louis; and 1 nephew, Gavin Rodgers of North Carolina. He is also survived by a number of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Kevin was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville. Kevin was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a Corpsman with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion Second Marine Division in Fallujah, Iraq from 2007 to 2008. He was honorably discharged in the spring of 2013. Kevin was an avid Cubs Baseball Fan and was loved by friends and family. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday at the First Baptist Church of Maryville from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Services will be at 11:30 a.m.on Friday, March 10, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Maryville in Maryville, Illinois with Rev. Aaron Myers officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Wounded Warrior Project
