Flora Mouser

Flora L. Mouser, 88, passed away peacefully at 5:30pm on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at her residence with her loving family by her side.  She was born on July 13, 1928, in Marble Hill, Missouri, the daughter of the late Jesse and Emma Lou (Limbaugh) Angle.  She married Loyd Mouser on April 29, 1946, and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1974.  Survivors include two daughters and sons in law: Phyllis and Sam Campbell of Willis, Texas, Judy and David Farley of Granite City, one son: Roger Mouser of Granite City, eight grandchildren: Ed Campbell and his wife: Christine, Kim Campbell, Lori Flowers and her companion: Brent Davis, David Farley II and his companion: Jamie Gibson, Danielle Trask, Zach Mouser, Kaitlin Mouser, Samuel Mouser, thirteen great grandchildren, two great – great grandchildren, a sister in law and her dear friend: Melba Beasley of Fairmount City, a sister in law; Elsie Mouser of Marble Hill, Missouri, a brother in law: Timon Mouser of Bixby, Missouri, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Flora and her husband formerly owned and operated the Sunrise Café in Wood River, the Sunset Café in Mitchell, the Cloverleaf Motel in Granite City, and the coffee shop in Collinsville.  They also owned and operated Mouser Construction Company.  She was a former member of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Robert Edward Mouser, one daughter: Joyce Ann Mouser, two grandsons: Bradley Dean “Larry”, Mike Campbell, one great grandson: Dillion Dean, and her siblings: Grace May Cook, Dale Angle, Linus Angle, Maudie Howell, Joe Angle, Lula Sturgeon, Lola Angle, Viola Kinder, and Emma Louise Williams.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.  Visitation will continue from 12pm until time of services at 1pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri.  Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society Relay for Life Riverbend and will accepted at the funeral home.
