Daniel W. Manning, 58, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 2:11 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his home. He was born March 2, 1960 in Granite City, a son of the late Edwin and Joanne (Horvath) Manning. He married Joyce A. (Clifton) Manning on May 5, 2003 in Edwardsville and she survives.
He was a crane operator at American Steel and loved fishing and cherished his grandchildren. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife of 15 years, he is survived by two sons, Perry Manning of Troy and Daniel Foreshe of Granite City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Fawn and Hayden Mayo of Granite City and Katherine Zimmer of Mitchell; four grandchildren, Violette, Jacob, Haven and Dakota; a sister, Cynthia Godwin of Granite City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Shaun and Linda Manning of Waterloo and Scott and Lisa Manning of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Nipper.
In celebration of his life, private family services will be held.
