Charlotte M. “Sally” Sutton, nee Rhul, 70, of Granite City, IL, born May 14, 1948, in St. Louis, MO, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, in Maryville, IL.
Mrs. Sutton was a member of Christ Centered Community Church in Madison, IL, very active in her church, choir leader, loved to decorate, crafts, and all around amazing woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wanda, nee Kramer, Rhul; and brother, Russell Herman.
Charlotte is survived by and will be missed her husband, Terry Sutton, whom she married July 28, 1984 at Wilson Park in Granite City, IL. They walked 34 years side by side. She is the love of Terry’s life, confident, and affectionately known as “Sunshine Sally”; son, John (Kelly) Powers of Caseyville, IL; daughters, Kimberly (Brad) Badgett of Granite City, IL, and Pamela Powers of Granite City, IL; grandchildren, Kayle, Teresa, Dustin, Jordan, Melissa, Melanie, Madelyn, Jason, Tommy, and Michael; great grandchild, Hunter; brother in laws, Charles Rumfelt of Georgia, David Foote of Imperial, MO, and James Miller of High Hillsboro, MO; sister in law, Gloria Bolin of Pierron, IL; and other extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Christ Centered Community Church, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: Memorial gathering will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Irwin Chapel 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL
Funeral: A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Karen Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
