Timothy Allan Stafford, 60 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Tim was born on June 7, 1958 in East St. Louis, Illinois; the son of the late Newman and Gertrude (Mezger) Stafford. Tim was a welder at A.O. Smith and in his free time he enjoyed his days being outside camping, waterskiing and a good motorcycle ride. Tim loved the adventure of exploring caves and repelling and was always ready for a horseback ride. He enjoyed painting and spending time with his family. Tim was a Christian and had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Granite City and was a member of the Boy Scouts. Tim will be remembered for his gentle heart and all the special times he shared with his family.
Tim is survived by and will be missed by his daughter; Bobbi (David) Ward of Brighton, Illinois; grandchildren, Austin Ward, Jordan Ward, Maycie Ward; great-granddaughter, Layla Jo Ward; brothers, Chaplain Greg Stafford of Taylorville, Illinois, Bob (Jill) Ketcherside of Granite City, Illinois.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Stafford.
In celebration of Tim’s life, a visitation was held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Greg Stafford officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial followed at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
