Agnes Fryntzko

Agnes T. Fryntzko, 94 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Fountains in Granite City.

Agnes was born on November 27, 1924 in St. Louis; the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Beljik) Mudrovic. Agnes worked in accounting at Marsh McLennan Insurance for 20 years. Agnes had a special love for her church, Nativity of the Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Church in Madison where she was a member for many years. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. Agnes will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.

Agnes is survived by and will be missed by her daughters; Marie Ann (Eric) Robertson of Granite City, Jeanne Martinovich of Ashville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Laura (John) Collins, Erin Robertson, Ryan (Rachelle) Robertson, Michael (Sue) Martinovich, Bo Martinovich; great-grandchildren, Karli Rae, Riley, Bella, Stefan, Niko.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband; John D. Fryntzko, whom she married on June 24, 1943; her 3 brothers and a sister.

In celebration of Agnes’s life, services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2606 Washington Ave. in Granite City with Fr. Jeff Holtman officiating.

Burial will follow at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Cemetery in Edwardsville.

Memorial donations are suggested to Heartland Hospice or Nativity of the Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Cemetery perpetual care fund.

Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
