Jack Paschedag

Jack Lee Paschedag, 89, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 5:49 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at his home. 

He was born September 1, 1929 in Granite City, a son of the late William and Ora (Goade) Paschedag.  He retired from Granite City Steel after 35 years of dedicated service as a foreman.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his days of fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed working puzzles and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. 

In addition to his beloved wife of 65 years, Bonnie Lou (Heideman) Paschedag he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and MiSuk Paschedag of San Antonio, Texas and Randy and Tina Paschedag of Granite City; eight grandchildren, Jackie, Alexis, Meagan, Joshua, Michelle, Jennifer, Mike and Christina; four great grandchildren, Drew, Ava, Abby and Carter; a brother, Charles Paschedag of Holiday Shores; other extended family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Paschedag; a grandson, William Paschedag; two brothers and four sisters, Donnie, William “Bill”, Frances, Betty, Marian and Maggie.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights. 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Salvation Army and may be accepted at the funeral home.  www.irwinchapel.com
