Geneva Wienhoff

Geneva J. “June” Wienhoff, 78 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her home.

Geneva was born on June 18, 1940 in Puxico, Missouri; the daughter of the late Elmer and Viola (Crabb) Willis. Geneva was a tax preparer for H & R Block for over 30 years and in her free time she enjoyed her days of reading, crafts and making quilts. Her greatest love was her family and she will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.

Geneva is survived by and will be missed by her children; Rebecca (Lonnie) Lancaster of Granite City, Illinois, Jeffrey (Pamela) Wienhoff of Huntsville, Alabama, Elaine (Barry) Reynolds of Pinckneyville, Illinois, David (Barbara) Wienhoff of Edwardsville, Illinois, Julia (James) Isaak of Nobel, Illinois; brother, Lloyd (Diane) Willis; sister-in-law, Dorothy Willis; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband; Louis Allen “Lou” Wienhoff, whom she married on July 3, 1956 and who passed away on December 2, 2018; brothers, Francis Willis and Neil Willis.

In celebration of Geneva’s life, friends may call on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Gray officiating at Mt. Zion General Baptist Church, 2827 Mockingbird Lane in Granite City.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
