Randall E. Prentice, age 85 of Trenton, IL, died Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Cedarhurst of Highland in Highland, IL.
He was born on Saturday, March 25, 1933, in Roberta, OK, the son of Alton and Leah (nee Culpepper) Prentice.
Randall was born in Oklahoma; lived in Breese, IL over 25 years and the last 10 years in Trenton. He served with the US Army for 2 years, 1953 – 1955, as a Sergeant with duty in Korea as a Tank Commander. After the service he worked as a Civil Engineer with Sverdrup Corporation, doing jobs in Thailand, West Virginia and Rhode Island, building bridges, submarine ports, and dams. Randall was an avid outdoorsman enjoying golfing, fishing and hunting. He was the “Life of the Party” person. He liked to play Bingo.

Great Grandchildren – Caden and Brennon
Former Wife – Ladda Punyayoma Prentice (Married 9/21/1963 at Thailand), Centralia, IL.
He was preceded in death by:
Father – Alton E. “Peg” Prentice – Died 8/3/1983
Mother – Leah Maureen Prentice (nee Culpepper) – Died 10/31/1999
Brother – Wyman Prentice
Brother – Byron Prentice.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 7:30 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Dan L. Perry, Pastor of Care Ministries, Troy UMC, Troy, IL, officiating.
Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
