BELLEVILLE – A lucky Lucky Lotto Day Lotto player has a $400,000 winning ticket in their possession.
“If you bought a Lucky Day Lotto ticket in Belleville, you may want to check it right away!,” the Illinois Lottery announced on Thursday morning. “A gas station in Belleville sold a $400,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in the Wednesday, May 2, evening drawing.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, 1800 Lebanon Ave., in Belleville, and matched all five numbers – 4 – 9 – 15 – 28 – 34 – to win the jackpot. The retailer will receive a bonus of $4,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.
More than 23,000 players won prizes ranging from $1 to $1,000 in this Lucky Day Lotto drawing. In all, players won more than $457,000 in this drawing. Lucky Day Lotto drawings are twice a day, seven days a week. For more information or to subscribe online, please visit illinoislottery.com.
