Audrey Dean Kirksey, 97, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Fountainview Manor in Granite City, Illinois.
She was born April 25, 1922 in Greene County, Illinois, a daughter of the late Forrest and Ruby L. (Wilkinson) Rutledge.
She had retired from Union Starch after many years of service in the lab.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Kirksey in 1991; her parents, a brother, Paul Rutledge and two sisters, June Blevins and Lois Shankel.
She is survived by nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews and other extended family.
In celebration of her life, a graveside service will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 with Reverend Greg Dickerman officiating.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
