DeWayne B. Schrader, 42, of Troy and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his home. He was born March 13, 1977 in Granite City. He had a special love for music and was a fan of Elvis, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy. He loved spending time with his family and cherished his children and granddaughter. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoying the mud, bonfires, camping and fishing and was always looking for another adventure with motorized recreational vehicles.
He is survived by his mother, Deonna (Trigg) Cristel of Troy; father and stepmother, Donald and Vicki Schrader of Granite City; daughter, Brittni Davis of Highland; son, Zakkary Davis of Highland; granddaughter, Amiya Jones of Highland; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Daniel and Amanda Schrader of Granite City and William Schrader of Granite City; a sister and brother-in-law, Vanessa and Shaun Monica of St. Louis; grandparents, Evelyn Goodson of Alton; three uncles and an aunt, Lee Schrader of Granite City, Lou Trigg of Alton and Ronnie and Diana Trigg of Caseyville; many cousins; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Elizabeth Schrader, Lee Schrader, Herman Trigg and Roy Goodson; aunt and uncle, Shelly and Chuck Bakken and a nephew, Preston Nicard.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family and may be accepted at the funeral home. www.irwinchapel.com
