Robert Stanley

Robert P. “Red Dog” Stanley, Sr., age 81 of Marine, IL, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL.

He was born July 23, 1937, in Marine, IL, the son of  James R. and Martha R. (nee Long) Stanley.

On May 04, 1957, he married Agnes C. Hencke  at Marine, IL.

He was a member of  Marine Volunteer Fire Dept..

Red had lived in Marine most of his life.  He retired in 2000 from Madison County Service Company after 12 years of service.  He previously worked for Bowler Trucking Service and Illinois State Highway Department.Following the graveside service the family will receive friends for a lunch at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Social Hall in Marine, IL.

Wife – Agnes C. Stanley nee Hencke, Marine, IL

Daughter – Robin A.  (James “Butch) Quade, Edwardsville, IL

Son – Robert P. (Kathy) Stanley, Jr., Marine, IL

Son – Raymond J. (Janet) Stanley, Marine, IL

Daughter – Roslyn “Rosie” D. Jennings (Friend Mike Landmann), Pocahontas, IL

Daughter – Rena O. Hoffstot, Millersburg, IL

Son – Roger M. Stanley, Marine, IL

Son – Russell T. Stanley, Highland, IL

Grandchildren – Many .

Great Grandchildren – Many .

Sister – Rosemarie Sabatini, St. Louis, MO

Brother – Junior “Bud” (Lydia) Stanley, Torrence, CA

Sister – Anita (Carl) Hoenig, Troy, IL

Sister – Iona Diesen, Highland, IL

Sister-In-law – Paula Stanley, Colorado Springs, CO

He was preceded in death by :

Father – James R. Stanley, Marine, IL

Mother – Martha R. Stanley nee Long

Daughter – Rhonda Stanley (infant)

Brother – Ronnie Stanley

Sister & Brother-in-law – Loretta (Raymond) Mead

Brother & Sister-In-law – Donald (Wanda) Stanley

Brother – Rodney Stanley

Son-in-law – William L. Hoffstot

Daughter-In-law – Sandy R. Stanley

Brother In-law – Joseph Sabaitni

Brother In-law – Donald Diesen

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be at  11 am Friday, June 14, 2019, at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Marine, IL with Father Paul Habing  officiating.  The family welcome friends to the Saint Elizabeth Church for lunch following the services.
