Louis F. Mehelic, 90 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Stearns Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Granite City.
Louis was born on December 15, 1928 in Granite City; the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Brylski) Mehelic. Louis was a 6th Grade Teacher at Webster School in Granite City and he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Louis is survived by and will be missed by his niece; Janice (Edward) Settlemoir of Granite City and a niece-in-law; Barb Mehelic.
In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Mehelic.
Louis was laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
