Clara M. Liening, age 91 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, September 15, 2019, at HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville, IL.
She was born on April 05, 1928, in St. Rose , IL, the daughter of Herman and Clara (nee Fischer) Tebbe.
On November 15, 1949, she married Orville B. Liening who passed away on April 06, 1987.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL. She was also a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Pocahontas and the Altar Society.
Clara was born at St. Rose, IL, and she grew up on the family farm north of St. Rose with nine siblings. Following her marriage she and her husband operated a dairy farm west of Pocahontas, until retiring in the mid 1980’s She continued living on the farm until 1991 when she moved to her new home west of Pierron. She was an avid quilter and sewer, always had a flower and vegetable garden. She enjoyed bird watching and loved to cut the grass.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL, with Father Paul J. Bonk officiating.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Pierron, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made as Masses at Immaculate Conception in Pierron, St. Nicholas in Pocahontas, or Sacred Heart in Livingston .
