Charles “Charlie” Kelly Driver II, 39, passed away at 8:49 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born on November 6, 1980, in Alton, the son of Patricia (Shaw) Driver of Hartford and the late Charles “Kelly” Driver. In addition to his mom, he is survived by two daughters: Haley Driver of Granite City, Elizabeth Driver of Granite City, one son: Wyatt Driver of Granite City, a sister, and brother in law: Katherine and Christopher Elberg of Wood River, a brother and sister in law: Shane and Danielle Driver of Hartford, his fiancé: Jennifer Delin, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Charlie was formerly employed at Olin and Geno’s 140 Club. He was an avid baseball fan, hockey fan, and loved to cook and eat ice cream daily even though he was a diabetic.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Charles Edward and Mabel Driver.
Cremation rites have been accorded. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be used for his children with checks payable to Patricia Driver.
