Robert H. Coleman Jr., 71, of Cisne and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 8:11 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his home. He was born April 11, 1949 in Gideon, Missouri, a son of the late Robert and Drewsella (Hawkins) Coleman. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #653 in Centralia after many years of dedicated service as a pipefitter. The United States veteran proudly served his country with the Navy during the Vietnam War. Robert loved the outdoors and enjoyed his days fishing, hunting and his time spent in Florida. He cherished his grandchildren and his service dog, Deoge and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheila Mae (Morris) Coleman who passed away on March 3, 2006 and his sister, Mary Herzing.
He is survived by a son, Robert H. Coleman III of McLeansboro; two grandchildren, Callie Coleman of McLeansboro and Hayden Davis of McLeansboro; a brother, Bob Coleman of Mt. Vernon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Ann and Jeff Washington of East Alton and Sherrie and Troy Chaney of Orlando, Florida; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, friends and family may gather at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates from 12:30 p.m. until time of graveside services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020.
