Ronald Dale Chandler, 73, of Madison, IL, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Sat. July 11, 2020 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
He was born Sept. 29, 1946 in Granite City to the late Claude E. Chandler and Naomi (Owens) Chandler Unger.
On Sept. 4, 1965, he and Barbara J. Cook were married in Edwardsville, IL. She survives.
Ronald had worked as an auto body technician for over 40 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Rhonda (Jim Alvey) Kerley and Rebecca (Michael) Betts; 5 grandchildren: Brianna Kerley, Leah Betts, Chandler Kerley, Emily Kerley and PSN James Alvey III; 5 sisters: Claudette Cremer, Kimberly Unger, Mary Willis, Sharon Scott and Debbie Webb; 4 brothers: Robert and Richard Unger and David and Ricky Rudd; many aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Ronald J. Chandler; his step-father: William Unger; and a brother: Terry Lee Unger.
The family will hold a private celebration of life.
