Marjorie Heath

Marjorie E. Heath, 92 of Granite City passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center.

Marjorie was born on August 28, 1927 in Wood River, IL; the daughter of the late Fuzzy and Mary Ellen (Hoffman) Goudy. Marjorie was a coordinator for Jass Casino Tours who loved to take care of all of her customers giving them drinks and showing them a good time on their way to the casino’s.  Marjorie was known for her shopping skills at Kohl’s with her granddaughter, Lora and her love of Mexican food and Margarita’s. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and sharing stories of her youth. Marjorie will be remembered for her warm personality, the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.

Marjorie is survived by and will be missed by her son; Michael and Rosemarie Heath of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Lora Heath-Marmion of Granite City, IL, Lindsay and Thomas Rollins of Granite City, IL, Aaron Heath of Kentucky, Zachary and Nikole Heath of Pompano Beach, FL; numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; special nephew, Jeff and Kendra Judge of Granite City and numerous other close family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband; Billy Heath, whom she married on June 25, 1946 and her sons, Richard Lee Heath and Philip Heath.

In celebration of Marjorie’s life, a family graveside service is being planned for a later date where she will be laid to rest with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of one’s choice. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
