Mary E. Baugus, 59 of Granite City passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Mary was born on August 25, 1960 in Tennessee; the daughter of the late Burl and Shirley M. (Parris) Ottinger Wise. Mary was a medical debt collector for Credit Control in Maryland Heights and in her free time Mary enjoyed her days of gardening and preparing holiday meals for the family and was a huge Young and Restless fan. Mary loved her family, especially her grandbabies, who she adored. Mary will be remembered for how she loved her family and all the special times they shared together.
Mary is survived by and will be missed by her children; Amy Deveau of Granite City, Nicole and Christopher Geiler of St. Jacob, Jerri and Andrew Frost of Flora, Tara Baugus of Granite City; friend and father of her children, Joe Baugus of Granite City; grandchildren, Joseph Bonvicino, Madison Dietz, Camden Geiler, Carsyn Geiler, Karlee Baugus, Kyler Baugus, Lydi Ann Petrillo, Karleigh Frost, Mollie Frost; great-grandchild, Finnley Bonvicino; brother, Larry and Vicki Ottinger; sisters, Sherry “Red” and Clinton Dotson, Hope and Steve Dietz; sister-in-law, Cathie Ottinger.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Ottinger and son-in-law, Kenny Deveau.
In celebration of Mary’s life, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 with a private family service to follow at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
