Danny M. Bone, 73 of Granite City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Danny was born on September 4, 1946 in Granite City; the son of the late Oriel and Eurell (Smith) Bone. Danny was a custodian for the Granite City School District and spent all his free time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. Danny will be remembered for his loving heart for his family and all the special times they shared together.
Danny is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Jeanette (Barunica) Bone, whom he married in February of 1965; sons, Danny and Sheri Bone of Granite City, Trevor and Dawn Bone of Granite City; grandchildren, Danielle Bone, Danny Bone III, Roger Clements, Rachael Clements, Martin Clements, Maddeline Brummitt; sisters, Cheryl and Steve Phillips, Debbie and Brian Crow; brother, Voyle and Carla Rushing and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by 2 sons; Oriel and Kyle Bone and a sister, Donna Mitchell.
In celebration of Danny’s life, a private visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Private funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Duff officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
