Carlota Virginia Figueroa, 93, of Caseyville, IL, passed away at 3:32 p.m. Sun. Aug. 23, 2020 at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab in Caseyville.
She was born Nov. 4, 1926 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to the late Guellermina Barahona and Francisco P. Figueroa.
She was married to Baudillio C. Huergo. He preceded her in death.
She worked as a magician’s assistant and plaster crafter with her husband and family.
She is survived by a daughter: Ana Virginia Huergo de Tenes of Guatemala City, Guatemala; 3 sons: Gilberto Huergo of Caseyville, Miguel Huergo of Fairview Heights, IL and Carlos Huergo of Fairmont City, IL; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother: Fernando Figueroa of FL; and 3 sisters: Emma Payne of Collinsville, IL, Reyna Spillari of Guatemala and Thelma Yolanda Johannes of St. Louis, MO.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters.
