Vicky L. Ottinger, 66, of Granite City, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Vicky was born on July 30, 1954 in Granite City; the daughter of the late James Alfred and Vida (Sheffer) Murphy. Vicky was a loving mom and grandma who loved to read and play a good game of bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Vicky will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.
Vicky is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Larry Ottinger, whom she married on October 10, 1995; daughters, Monica and Danny McNeely of Granite City, Tricia Poe of Pontoon Beach, IL; grandchildren. Michael Bailey of Granite City, Mitchell Bailey and (Beca Bailey) of Granite City, Hayden McNeely of Granite City; dad, Kenneth Murphy of Granite City; sisters, Bonnie Davis, Lila Moslander, Carla Wilson, Pam Murphy; brother, Michael Murphy and numerous nieces, nephews and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her mom; Wilma Murphy; brothers, Edward “Unk” Murphy, Donald “Unci Don” Murphy, Norman Murphy; sister, Cheryl Murphy.
In celebration of Vicky’s life, a private family visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2020 with funeral services to follow at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
