Daniel L. “Danny” Laswell, 67 of Granite City passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2019 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Danny was born on September 29, 1952, in Granite City; the son of the late Edward and Edith Jeree (Dyker) Laswell. Danny was a butcher at Scott Air Force Base and proudly served his country in the United States Army. In his free time Danny enjoyed his days of working on cars and spending time with his family and friends and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Danny is survived by and will be missed by his sons; Dustin Laswell of Bethalto, IL, Daniel and Kelly Laswell of Granite City, IL; grandchildren, Maleah Laswell and Daniel P. Laswell Jr. both of Granite City, IL; brother, Phillip and Evelyn Laswell of Edwardsville, IL; twin sister, Debbie Laswell of St. Louis, MO and sister, Janice and Kenny Cox of Edwardsville, IL.
In celebration of Danny’s life, a private immediate family gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
