David L. “Dave” Gregory, 64 of Granite City passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Dave was born on June 10, 1956 in Granite City; the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Sirini) Gregory Sivert. Dave was a radiator repairman for Central Auto Radiator in St. Louis and was a well known handyman that could fix just about anything. He was known by family and friends alike as a man that could repair vacuums, small engines or if a home needed a good remodel. He was a member Grace Baptist Church in Granite City and in his free time Dave enjoyed his days of spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his unselfish spirit and all the special times he shared with his family.
Dave is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Cheryl (Setzer) Gregory, whom he married on July 22, 1978; daughter, Harmony Recinos of Indiana; son, Josiah David Gregory of Granite City; grandchildren, Jasmin Recinos, Jose Recinos, Mariana Isabela Recinos; brother, Ronnie Gregory; sister, Linda and Harold Ray Smallie; brother-in-law, Harold Setzer; sisters-in-law, Annette Shaw and Virginia LeDuc.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother; Billy Earl Gregory; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Llyod and Ila Setzer.
In celebration of Daves’s life, a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 2600 Edwards Street in Granite City with Dr. Daniel Wilson officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to Grace Baptist Church. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
