Kendall Wayne Beck, 65, of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away at a very special time Thurs. Dec.10, 2020 at his home following a lengthy battle with small cell lung cancer.
He was born Oct. 16, 1955 in Granite City to the late James P. & Esther (Kindle) Beck.
On Sept. 15, 1978, he and Molli Ropac were married in Granite City. She survives in Pontoon Beach.
Kendall had been a welder steel frabricator for Mid-Continent Steel for 18 years. He was passionate about crappie fishing, camping, gardening, mowing the grass and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Chellie Brewer of Granite City, who tirelessly provided his nursing care; 2 sons: Christian (Kaylene) Brewer of Snohomish, WA and Joseph Brewer of Granite City; 2 granddaughters: Reagan Clemons of Granite City and Reanna Farley of Wood River; a brother: Tom (Stacey) Beck of Granite City; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Peyton Clemons; 2 brothers: Kevin and Jason Beck; a sister and brother-in-law: Paula & Jerry Swiatek; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Betty and Mike Ropac.
Services are private.
