John Christopher Bohmer, 60, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 4:51 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born November 14, 1960 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a son of the late Raymond Bohmer and the late Patricia (McGee) Tanguay. He married Carole Ann (Roehr) Bohmer on July 28, 1983 in Oklahoma and she survives. He was employed at Thomas Industrial Coatings in Pevely, Missouri with 28 years of dedicated service as a steel painter. John loved socializing and being with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing pool and golfing and cherished his American Dingo, Chloe. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Justin (Stephanie) Roehr of Granite City and Nicholas (Erica) Bohmer of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Andrea (Stephen) Huffman of Granite City; five grandchildren, Mason Roehr, Ruby Roehr, Milyn Roehr, Lily Bohmer and Leo Bohmer; two brothers, Raymond (Susan) Bohmer of New York and Ricky Bohmer of Maine; three sisters, Robin (Warren) Conner of Texas, Cindy (Kenny) Wayne of New York and Heidi Plumey of New York; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bohmer; his mother and stepfather, Patricia (McGee) and Richard Tanguay; a niece, Dawn and two nephews, Chris and Gabriel.
