Steven A. Stimac, 68, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Gateway Regional Medical Center.
Born March 14, 1952 in Alton, he was the son of Andy and Vivian (Whitlock) Stimac.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked in the maintenance department of Gateway Regional Medical Center. Steve was an avid sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. He loved his family and being a Grandpa. He also loved spending time with his dogs.
He married Georgia Kay Wagner Sept. 28, 2001 in Edwardsville. She preceded him in death Jan. 20, 2018.
Survivors include two sons, Nicholas Stimac and Jeramy (Joanna) Stimac and their daughter, Olivia Stimac; two step daughters, Nicole Biggs and her son Landyn . NiCole Allen and her four children, Tieler, Tanner, Maegann and Isabella; three sisters, Connie Crabtree, Judy (Dean) Sweet, and Mary Jo Farmer; and his aunt and uncle, Liz and Vince Militello; numerous other beloved family members ;
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathleen Stimac; and a brother-in-law, Russell Crabtree.
The family will hold private services.
