Marian Wright, 83, of Granite City, Illinois passed away with her family at her side at 3:23 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was born November 12, 1937 in Bradford Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late Mike Manoogian and Araxie “Roxie” Manoogian Pashalian.
She married Larry D. Wright on February 13, 1966 at St. Gregory Armenian Church in Granite City and he survives.
She was a faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family and enjoyed the many special times shared throughout her life. She had worked as a commercial artist with Sporting News for several years and as a school bus aide.
Marian was a dedicated member of St. Gregory Armenian Church in Granite City. In addition to her beloved husband of 55 years, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine and Lance Ludwick of Des Plaines, Illinois and Ann Wright of Granite City; a son, Larry D. Wright of Granite City; five grandchildren, Lauren, Dylan, Alexis, Colten and Sydney; a great grandson, Brooks; a sister, Dorothy Avedisian of Granite City; other extended family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, George Pashalian and her brother, Sam Manoogian.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at St. Gregory Armenian Church, 1014 West Pontoon Road in Granite City on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Father Taniel Manjikian officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Armenian Church.
