Ryan A. Higgins, age 37 of Highland, IL, died Friday, March 19, 2021, at Saint John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
He was born on November 28, 1983, in Maryville, IL, the son of Randall “Randy” and Cynthia “Cindy” (nee Holtgrave) Higgins.
He was of Christian Faith.
Ryan was born in Maryville, IL and grew up in St. Jacob and Highland. He graduated Highland High School in 2001. He worked at Jakel Manufacturing and Aramark and various other jobs in Highland. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles (Yamaha Motorcycles), reading aircraft magazines and rock music.
Survivors include: Father – Randall “Randy” A. Higgins, Highland, IL; Mother – Cynthia “Cindy” K. Higgins, nee Holtgrave, Highland, IL; Grandmother – Bonita L. Higgins, Fosterburg, IL; Sister – Michelle T. (Jon) Huhn, Mulberry Grove, IL; Brother – Brett R. Higgins, Highland, IL; Nephew – Joshua E. Huhn, Mulberry Grove, IL; Niece – Marissa E. (Steven) Redfern, Vandalia, IL; Niece – Myah C. Huhn, Mulberry Grove, IL; many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by: Grandfather – Roger A. Higgins; Grandparents – Robert L. and Verna M. Zobrist.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Greenville, IL.
