Mary Ann Ellis, 78, of Collinsville, passed away on May 10, 2021 in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Mary Ann married Curly in February of 1965. Mary Ann attended Collinsville High School and St. Teresa Academy in East St Louis, graduating in 1960. For many years she worked for the City of Collinsville, also working as a beautician part time. Her family was the most important to her, with enjoying all sporting and school events, her famous Christmas Eve parties, and spending time at Disney with her family. Her devotion to her friends and family was her first priority. She was a member of Collinsville Junior Service. As a Master Gardener, she enjoyed her flowers, leaving beautiful landscaping in Collinsville, Maryville and Cape Coral, arts and crafts, reading and spending time outdoors. She especially enjoyed her pets, Angel and Tiger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Sophie (nee Natakitis) Davis.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Curly (Harold J.), daughter, Chris (Art) Segieda of Holiday Shores, IL, Tony (Amy) Ellis of Troy, IL, Sean (Rebecca) Ellis of Carmel, IN; 8 grandchildren: Devon, Kasia and Kali, Elliot, Jody and Jake, Alayna and Graham; 3 great grandchildren: Lukas, Charlotte and Ethan.
In celebration of her life, private family services will be held.
In lieu of memorials, the family asks that you provide a neighbor a flower to be planted in her memory. She enjoyed sharing her yard, and her love of the hobby.
