Brenden Lee Williams, age 47 of Collinsville, IL, born October 7, 1973 in Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his residence.
Brenden was a 1991 graduate of Collinsville High School and attained his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He was employed at AT&T as a Senior Accountant for Accounts Payable. Brenden was an avid sports fan that loved the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR. He enjoyed coaching Jarrett in hockey and basketball, and watching Hailey compete in cheerleading. Brenden loved his time spent with Jarrett, Derek and Rodney going trout fishing. Brenden shared his love of metal music and going to concerts with his friends and dear cousins Jonathan, Steven and Erich.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, LeRoy J. William Sr. and Gertrude Lee; and maternal grandparents, Roy and Edna Wallace.
Surviving are his two children, Hailey Ann Williams and Jarrett Lee Williams, both of Collinsville, IL; parents, LeRoy J. Jr. and Carolyn (nee Wallace) Williams of Maryville, IL; sister, Dena (Michael) Lay of Collinsville; niece, Amanda Morgan; nephew, Parker Lay; and many friends.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to L.C.E.F. (Lutheran Church Extension Fund) to benefit Hailey and Jarrett’s education. Donations will be accepted at the funeral home.
