Donald Loesche, age 86 of Collinsville, IL, born October 25, 1934 in Collinsville, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Donald was a retired Collinsville firefighter and bus driver for Vandalia Bus Lines. He was an Army Veteran and in his younger years enjoyed bowling and painting. He was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Marie “Nita” Loesche, whom he married on February 9, 1979; parents, Theodore and Irene (nee Ehrig) Loesche.
He is survived by two sons, Joe (Kendra) Loesche of St. Louis, MO and Todd Loesche of CT; a daughter, Donna (Kevin) Schelen of TX; step-children, Denise (Peter) Reed of Wilmington, OH, Dean and Doug Diehl of Collinsville, IL; and numerous grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
