Ralph B. Kampwerth, age 81 of Highland, IL, died Monday, August 30, 2021, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Breese, IL.
He was born on Wednesday, October 25, 1939, in Highland, IL, the son of John and Clara (nee Schumacher) Kampwerth.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
Ralph attended St. Paul School. He worked for Carl Rikli’s Bakery for four years until starting at Basler Electric on November 28, 1966, as a simple riveter in the systems department; he also worked in the machine shop and multiple winding areas for a short time before returning to systems assembly. He retired from Basler Electric in April of 2004. He was always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed dancing, baking, fishing, playing cards, gardening, and working on the farm.

He was preceded in death by: Father – John B. Kampwerth; Mother – Clara M. Kampwerth, nee Schumacher; Brother – Alfred B. Kampwerth; Brother – Andrew B. Kampwerth; Brother – Bruno Kampwerth – Died at age 3 1/2 years; Brother – Jerome J. Kampwerth; Sister – Mary E. Haar; Brother – John H. Kampwerth, Highland, IL; Brother – Gerald E. Kampwerth, Highland, IL; Sister – Geraldine Kampwerth – Died at age 3 1/2 months; Sister-In-Law – Agnes R. Kampwerth; Sister-In-Law – Irma Kampwerth; Brother-In-Law – Lewis Haar; Brother-In-Law – Louis B. Winkeler; Sister-In-Law – Agnes Kampwerth; Sister-In-Law – Betty Kampwerth.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 02, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Fr. Pat G. Jakel. Pastor, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, officiating.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL.
