Beatrice J. Farris, age 85, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at River Crossing of Edwardsville Nursing Home.
Bea was born on November 24, 1935, in East St. Louis, IL. She was one of six children born to James Bovinette and Emily Greene. Her siblings include Everett, Margie, Charlotte, Kay, and Roland. She was the loving wife of Bob Farris for 65 years. They shared two children, Mike and Tom, and three grandchildren, Sam, Hayley, and Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her father, James, and her mother, Emily.
Bea will be remembered for her incredible kindness and warmth. She touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all. She loved bingo, Young and the Restless Soap Opera, weekly lunch outings at Golden Corral with her sisters, as well as writing letters to her family (occasionally including scratch-off tickets). She would also send all children in the family yearly birthday cards with a dollar bill included. In her younger days, she loved going to yard sales with her husband.
Bea will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
