Donna Rae (nee Kindhart) Siemaszkiewicz, age 63 of Collinsville, IL, born October 21, 1957, in Morris, IL, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, with her family by her side.
Donna had a love for travel. She lived in Europe for many years, where she made many dear friends.
She was dedicated to her career and participated in many events and fundraisers. She won “Catering Manager of the Year” multiple times and set many company records. Donna was recently honored by McAlister’s Deli with the establishment of The Donna Siemaszkiewicz Scholarship Fund.
Donna enjoyed her weekends seeking out treasurers as she loved to collect jewelry and sipping mimosas at Sloan’s in Collinsville on Sunday afternoons with her friends. She loved Harry Potter, Cinderella, and anything Disney, but above all, she was passionate about her family and living life to its fullest. She was a selfless woman, a dedicated mother, and an awesome daughter.
Donna was a mom, friend, therapist, mentor and so much more to many people. A true social butterfly, she didn’t know a stranger. Her energy and charisma lit up a room. Even though she is on to her next adventure, her legacy will continue through the impact she has made through her family and the many people’s lives she has touched. She truly was one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Helen and Raymond Kindhart; maternal grandmother, Helen Doran; sister, Karen Jackson; and granddaughter, Lillian Wells.
Surviving are her parents, Donald and Beverly (nee Lardi) Gieselman; two children, Kelly (Shawn) Wells of Maryville, IL and Stephen (Danielle) Siemaszkiewicz of Troy, IL; four grandchildren, James and Colin Wells, Mariska and Eiley Siemaszkiewicz; brother, Robert (Patricia) Kindhart of Highland, IL; two sisters, Diana (Kevin) Armes of TX and Kathy (Mark) Campbell of AL; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and partner, Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Highland Knights of Columbus, 12454 IL-143, Highland, IL 62249.
