Ronnie Earl Smith, age 59 of Collinsville, IL, born November 14, 1962, in Mt. Vernon, IL, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Ronnie was a 1980 Triad High School graduate and then in 1982, he attended Eastern Illinois University. He worked as a food safety specialist, enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, and reading.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann (nee Dilbeck) Meyer.
He is survived by his son, Eric Smith of Wichita Falls, TX; a sister, Debbie (Milo) Stubban of Edwardsville, IL; two brothers: Bart (Jaime) Smith of Bethalto, IL and Don Smith of St. Louis, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
Upon his request, Ronnie was cremated and no services will be held at this time.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Metro East Humane Society and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
