The Red All-Stars Knock Off The Blue All-Stars In The MVCHA All Star Game In East Alton

EAST ALTON – The Mississippi Valley Club Hockey Association All-Star Game was held at the East Alton Ice Arena on Tuesday night. The Red All-Stars came out on top with a 5-1 win over the Blue All-Stars. 

Belleville’s Nathan Young scored a solo goal with 5:55 left to make it 1-0, in the first period.  Ganz scored his first of two goals with 5:38 left in the first period to make it 2-0 he was assisted by Belleville’s Jacob Bleisch.

In the second period, Donovan Knuckles scored his first goal from the assist by Drake Scroggins from EAWR with 12:03 to make it 3-0 and then Knuckles scored his second goal a solo goal with 11:48 to make it 4-0.

The Blue All-Stars responded with a goal by Bethalto’s Clayton Law, assisted by Vianney’s David Mueller and Jacob Schoenwalder to make it 4-1 with 6:13 left, but it was the only goal of the game for the blue team.

Red All-Stars Ganz’s scored his second goal with 6:43 was the only goal of the third period making it 5-1. 

The Red All-Stars outshot the Blue All-Stars 59-25.
