Civic Memorial Wrestling Team Advances 12 Wrestlers To The Mahomet Seymour Sectional

BETHALTO – Civic Memorial High School hosted the Class 2A regional wrestling tournament Saturday. The Civic Memorial Eagles advanced 12 wrestlers to the Mahomet Seymour sectional next weekend and won their regional with 224.5 points over Triad who finished with 188 points to take second place and Waterloo finished with 124.5 points to take 3rd.

Civic Memorial placed five in first place. 106-pound Bradley Ruckman, 113-pound Ethan Skiff, 138-pound Bryce Griffin, 170-pound Abe Wojcikewicz and 182-pound Colton Carlisle all took first places finishes at the regional.

The Eagles placed six in second place, Nathan Herrin 120-pound, Joey Biciocchi 132-pound, Ben Skaggs 145-pound, Ashton Reed 152-pound, Mikey Bridgeman 220-pound and Logan Cooper 285-pound.

160-pound Brayden Moss was the lone 3rd place finisher for the Eagles.

The Jersey Panthers advanced four to the sectional next weekend. Jayden Busch placed 1st in the 285-pound class, Connor Chin 195-pound was second and Logan Czaia 106-pound and Liam McGuire 182 pound placed 3rd.
