James “Jimmy” Chastain, 46 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, in St. Louis County Missouri.
Jimmy was born on April 26, 1975, in Ft. Campbell Kentucky. In his free time, he loved being outdoors with his dog Chance camping, fishing, and collecting anything and everything. Jimmy also loved being the chef of the house and spending time with his nieces, nephews, cousins and so many other close family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by and will be missed by his loving wife Kelli (Knight) Chastain who he married on September 21, 1996. He is the son of Geneva (Creek) Chastain of Granite City Illinois and the late Dale Chastain. Sisters: Misty and Jeremy Rubenacker, Kristina, and Ricky Poindexter, Rebecka Chastain, and Elizabeth Stevenson. Nephews: Cameron Rubenacker, Titon Pinkerton, David Knight. Nieces: Chloe Chastain, Ada Pinkerton, Paige Knight, and Haley Short.
In celebration of Jimmy’s life, a memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Word of Life Tabernacle, 4870 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL, with the memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
