Anthony J. Ciaramitaro Sr., 71 of Granite City, Illinois, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Anthony was born on June 20, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee; the son of the late John and Josephine (Puleo) Ciaramitaro Sr. Anthony was a sheet metal worker for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and in his free time he enjoyed his days of going out with his friends to shoot pool. Anthony was a well-known animal lover and was always ready for a motorcycle ride. He will be remembered for his kind heart and all the special times he shared with his family and friends.
Anthony is survived by and will be missed by his son; Anthony J. “Tony” and Sheri Ciaramitaro Jr. of Trenton, Illinois; grandchildren, Tyler and Owen Ciaramitaro of Trenton, Illinois; brother, John Ciaramitaro and Sharon of St. Louis, Missouri; nephews, John Ciaramitaro and Tina Tucker of St. Louis, Missouri, Jason Ciaramitaro and Mehl of St. Louis, Missouri, Ben Armstead and Dawn of St. Louis, Missouri; niece, Natile Ciaramitaro of Florida; great-nephew, Nicholas Ciaramitaro; great-niece, Megan Ciaramitaro, and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his brother, Sammie Ciaramitaro.
In celebration of Anthony’s life, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Craft officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorial donations are suggested to the Granite City A.P.A.
