Linda G. Nelson 72 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Linda was born on June 6, 1949, in Lilbourn, Missouri; the daughter of the late Elmer and Vina (Parmer) Nelson. Linda was a school bus driver for Granite City School District #9 and a member of City Temple Church in Granite City. In her free time Linda enjoyed her days of going to church and spending time with her family and will be remembered for all the special times she shared with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by and will be missed by her sister and brother-in-law; Karen and Ed Lemler of Granite City and numerous cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Nelson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Linda’s life, funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
